Dr. Otis Marks II, affectionately called “DROM” by his many students and fans is the founder and Board Chairperson of the International Institute for Denoostriology, (DNT), a privately owned, personal development research firm, specializing in behavioral engineering. He also currently teaches behavioral courses to non-traditional students and owns and operates two service based companies, both of which are subsidiaries of the “Institute”.
Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dr. Marks is an expert in the field of human behavior with an advanced degree in clinical psychology, He is also a U.S. Air Force veteran, an entrepreneur, former talk show host, educator, and a world-class public speaker and lecturer. During his academic career, Dr. Marks earned many of the nation’s highest awards including Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, The National Dean’s List, The Presidential Top Student of The Year Award, et.al.

In the U.S., the number of people with Multiple Sclerosis is estimated to be about 400,000, with approximately 10,000 new cases diagnosed every year (that's 200 new cases per week). In 1999, Dr. Marks became a part of these statistics.
"You have post secondary Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and since there is no cure for MS, and it is a progressive disease, your condition will no doubt become worse as time goes by". Those were the words that Dr. Marks heard from lead Neurologist, Dr. Dewitt, in 1999 as he lay motionless, paralyzed in a hospital room. And even though the following years held heartbreak and struggle, they also were witness to human resilience and, what many consider, an absolute miracle.
The year 2001 found the young Otis in an economic vacuum. Previously he was forced to sell his small business and assets to pay for astronomical medical costs. He also closed his small research center after his home went into foreclosure. On the surface, an outsider would say that he lost "everything", but those who are close to him would witness that he never lost "anything", because he never lost his powerful spirit.
It was a mere year of paralysis that Dr. Marks' body began to move again to the astonishment of his primary care doctors. within two years, he no longer depended on the use of a wheelchair. By 2003 he was back on tour mesmerizing audiences with his life-changing lectures and powerful motivational speeches, and the last vestiges of the state of paralysis can only be seen in his right had, in which his fingers cannot fully extend. In 2007, after speaking at an event hosted by a chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Dr. Marks was asked by a member of the audience how he was able to defeat MS. His answer was same as the Mantra that he uses today---"Never give, never give in, just keep pressing forward, and EXPECT to win!"
